The Village of Hiram Fire Department serves the citizens and property of Hiram Village. The Full-Service Fire Department is on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Department is served by a high technology-enhanced E911 communications center dispatching police, fire, and emergency medical services 24 hours a day.
Our Fire Department is staffed with personnel trained in both firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Our staff members operate two Advance Life Support (ALS) Ambulances with state-of-the-art medical equipment. Using this state-of-the-art equipment and the protocols set forth by The Cleveland Clinic, the Hiram Fire Department provides the best EMS services possible. While our primary hospital transport locations are Cleveland Clinic’s Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center, University Hospital’s Geauga Medical Center, and Robinson Memorial Hospital, trauma patients, and critically ill patients are usually transported via aeromedical transport to the most appropriate facility available.
In addition, we operate two custom fire engines, which contain equipment for virtually all types of fire or rescue responses including the Jaws of Life. A wildland suppression vehicle, specialized for off-road fire attack also aids in protecting property and saving lives.
